ALL ANIMALS ADOPTED FROM ADOPT-A-PET MUST BE RETURNED TO ADOPT-A-PET IF THEIR OWNERS ARE UNABLE TO KEEP THEM.

URGENT NOTICE:

Adopt-a-Pet was forwarded an email today about an advert which appeared on Gumtree which stated that the Dog's owner named Liliana who had adopted a dog named MANGO from Adopt-a-Pet was looking for a home for Mango. Our adoption agreement which is signed by people who adopt a dog or cat from us, is a legal document. The conditions of Adoption state clearly that if the new owner is unable to keep the animal at any time in the future, it MUST be returned to Adopt-a-Pet for rehoming and it may NOT be passed on to other individuals or societies. To do so will result in immediate legal action. Once the animal is no longer wanted, ownership reverts to Adopt-a-Pet. If the dog is given to anyone else, the new owner will be in possession of stolen property. We have sent an email to Liliana stating that if the dog Mango is not returned to us by 13th June, we will immediately institute legal action.  The reason for this is that if Liliana passes on MANGO to another person,   that person can do the same and the possibilities of the dog ending up in dire straits is highly likely.  We also do not want our dogs or cats which we have rescued and nurtured, to end up at animal organisations which put down animals.  We will go through our records and would like to ask anyone who knows Liliana and Mango to contact us URGENTLY on 021 465-4560.
