A sad ending during a Humane Education Programme

A sad ending during a Humane Education Programme<!--[if gte mso 9]> <![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]> <![endif]-->

  After just one session with our newest group of learners participating in our Humane Education Programmes, the owner of this beautiful young female Pitbull who had recently had puppies, asked us if we could help his dog which wouldn’t eat.

We took her to our kind veterinarians and the diagnosis was that the dog had been kicked so severely in her stomach area, that several hernias had developed.  As a result, the dog was unable to pass stools which were   being recycled into her stomach, causing massive infection. Sadly the vets were unable to save her life and she was humanely euthanized in the true sense of the word.  Nobody seemed to know who was to blame for this severe injury, but a valuable lesson was learned why it is so important to be kind to animals and to intervene to stop cruelty.
