Adopt-a-Pet’s humane education programme recently visited World of Birds in Hout Bay.  The objective of the outing was to visit another pro-life organisation, where the learners were informed that most of the animals and birds were rescued and would have died without the intervention of the founder, Mr. Walter Mangold.  The white peacock shown in this photograph obliged us by showing off its magnificent tail feathers and the learners clapped and cheered in delight.   The learners can be seen in the background.  After the programme ended, the learners were asked what they had learned and the consensus was that they had learned to be kind to animals and to birds.
