To all the good people who recently read the story of Trixie and her only surviving puppy Faith on Facebook and on our website www.adopt-a-pet.org.za, here is their latest update. The time has come for Trixie and Faith to find a permanent home together We have rescued them from the jaws of death and have given them a second chance at life. We have been humbled by their tenacity and their strong will to live. Even after 25 years of rescuing animals, our compassion has not diminished and is stronger than ever. Our reward has been to see these special animals claim back their right to life and our hope is to ensure that they will find a safe, responsible and loving home together for the rest of their lives. Our thanks go out to our “lay inspector” Morris, who alerted us to Trixie’s plight in the first place in the Samora Machel informal settlement where he lives, to Desiree, Lauren and Glenda who bottle fed Faith through so many dark hours and last but not least to our wonderful volunteers Beryl and Peter who fostered these remarkable animals day and night with so much love, which enabled them to survive against all the odds. Please phone Cicely on 021 465-4560 between 10am-7pmto offer Trixie and Faith a lifelong home.
